The first time I used the internet was on a high speed 14.4 kbps dial-up modem. I was probably 9 or 10 years old at the time. Several things have happened since then, but this page just focuses on the online portion. I don't know the name of the first webpage I saw, but listed below is every major website I have used since. Obviously nobody could (or should) publish a list of every single website they have looked at, but I tried to compile a list of the websites that I have an account with or vist frequently. The title of each websites is also a link to that website's home page, and the name of my account is a link to my account profile (if applicable).
Newgrounds (wlkrt0)When I first became obsessed in 1999, the site barely ran on my 33.6kbps, but it was worth the trouble, and still is.
The Spyder Club (WalkerT)Mostly disbanded, but it was my first online community experience, and my first BBS/forum account. Includes my (dead) profile link.
eBay (wlkrt0)I was technically chucks_master (my dad's account), but I got started young and I still use it for cautious bargains and hard to find things.
PayPal (private)Not surprisingly, it went along with the eBay experience, but I have also used it for Ventrilo servers and payments to individual sellers.
XFire (WalkerT)This app was and still is essential for the organized gamer. My aging profile also gives a nice snapshot of my personal gaming history.
TSIC (wlkrt0)My evolving hobby website got me started on both ASP3 and later PHP5. I could type forever, but there's plenty to read on the site.
MySpace (Zach Walker)This website is an embarrassment to the WWW, and I maintain that the band/music community is all it is good for.
WebAssign (zwalker, utoledo)Similar to WileyPlus, a very un-interesting website for online homework and quizzes for Chemistry that I would feel bad forgetting.
WileyPlus (private)Similar to WebAssign, a very un-interesting website for online homework and textbook for Physics that I would feel bad forgetting.
|d3n|sity clan (WalkerT)One of four clans I was officially involved in for Counter-Strike. This happens to be one of Richard's websites.
Newegg (private)One of my favorite places to purchase computer hardware for myself and others.
1&1 (zachwalker.net)My current webhost. If I were rich I'd have a feature-packed dedicated server, but they're very cheap and so am I.
Slashdot (wlkrt0)My main news source for years. I know it's not for everyone, but I don't know how technical people can live without it.
Axcess My Pics (wlkrt0)An intermediary between my mobile pictures and my hard disk. Also a makeshift sharing method.
YouTube (wlkrt0)Like Google for videos, but it would be nothing without its great community.
Game Replays (wlkrt0)A Rise of Legends community site in which I am only a spectator. Necessary for RoL players.
woot! (wlkrt0)I have yet to contribute my own woot, but it's bound to happen when I visit daily.
